Dr. May

Meet Dr. May, ND

Dr. May has been practicing in Fairbanks since 2009 and in 2017 started Dr. May, ND, LLC. to provide a cost-affordable model of proactive and functional healthcare. This direct primary care style model is structured to have minimal overhead as a business so that cost savings can be passed onto patients in the form of low-cost visits and subscriptions.

Dr. May has had advanced training and experience treating endocrine disorders (diabetes, hypothyroid, weight gain, menopause, low testosterone, etc.), epigenetic testing, mens’ health, and environmental medicine (food allergies, environmental toxins, etc.). He’s curated a team of providers that work together to address the health of the whole person. Want more than segmented, medication-driven, disease management? Give us a try!

“I love helping people realize (and achieve) their full health potential. Life is too short to live it sick and tired.”

Costs: Initial Consult = $250 | Follow-up visits = $175

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN ALASKA? AND WHY DID YOU MOVE HERE?

I moved here in 2009 with my wife and kids seeking what most Alaskans, I think, are looking for… opportunity and adventure. So far, I’d say it’s been right on the money.

PREVIOUS CAREERS?

I was full tilt into the fitness world for about 10 years. I worked mostly as a personal trainer at gyms and athletic trainer for sports teams, however, I spent several years managing gyms and teaching group fitness classes as well. I would like to figure out how to mesh medicine and fitness someday soon. A few years ago, I got my U.S. Powerlifting level 1 certification and hope to expand and utilize it more in the future.

HOBBIES AND OTHER INTERESTS?

I am a sports and recreation junkie. If I can throw it, hit it or shoot; I’m usually game.

Meet Jeff Hull, health coach and personal trainer

Jeff was born and raised in Texas.  He offers health coaching and personal training services, specializing in behavior modification, and is an integral part of implementing many of Dr. May’s weight loss and diet related protocols. His degree in psychology makes him uniquely gifted in identifying and addressing behaviors preventing people from accomplishing their health goals.

“I believe that food is medicine. What we put in our bodies not only fuels us but allows us to live the life we want.”
